Gordon gave a magnificent talk on mushroom lore at our 2016 conference and another at our 2024 conference entitled “Frightening Flora”.

Gordon is a founder of the Edinburgh Fortean Society and head of the Charles Fort Institute.

He is the author of Paranormal Edinburgh, Paranormal Newcastle, Ghosts Caught on Film 3, and The Weird World of Charles Fort. He co-authored How the Mushroom Got its Spots and The Death & Life of the Great Lafayette. Gordon has also contributed to numerous other books and magazines.

As well as writing, Gordon also teaches photography. His photographs have been used in a wide range of books, magazines, newspapers, and television. He has photographed conferences and concerts. Once, he even went to the Amazon to photograph mushrooms!
