Ron is a co-organiser of our conference.

Ron Halliday is the author several books on strange phenomena including, ‘UFO Scotland’, ‘Scotland’s X- Files’,  ‘Paranormal Scotland’,  ‘Alien Spirits’,  and ‘Famous Scots and the Supernatural’. He has appeared on radio and television including BBC ‘Newsnight’ programme. For several years he wrote the ‘X-Files’ column for the Glasgow ‘Evening Times.

Ron’s Talk for 2025 is “Nature Spirits: Friend or Foe”:

We are brought up on the idea of good nature spirits the tooth fairy or fairy godmother of folklore and fable. But does that truly reflect our relationship with the ‘other world’ inhabited by these elementals? Across the world people‘s experiences tell a different story. There are far more ‘evil spirits’ than helpful ones. And should we be cautious of what we might meet as we walk through the countryside? A warning to be careful!’
